"Feral Spider" – Art Installation in Frieze Art Fair 2026

Tesseract Engineers provided structural engineering services for the temporary steel armature of the "Feral Spider" installation, presented at Frieze Art Fair 2026 in London. The installation is a new sculptural and interactive commission by artist Theo Triantafyllidis, emerging from his ongoing Feral Metaverse — a shared multiplayer space and social experiment that proposes a more primal mode of being together online. Tesseract's scope of work included the structural assessment and stability evaluation of the steel frame under dead and live loads, ensuring the safe implementation of the architectural vision within the constraints of a temporary exhibition structure.
