“Hard Feelings” - Public Installation at Alcova Milano 2026

Hard Feelings is a public art installation designed by Objects of Common Interest and presented at Alcova Milano 2026, within the historic Baggio Military Hospital complex. The installation comprises two large white inflatable forms—a triangle and a cube—suspended from the balcony of one of the existing buildings. The two distinct geometries establish a spatial relationship defined by proximity, contrast and tension. Tesseract Engineers were appointed to undertake the structural stability assessment of the installation. The scope included the evaluation of the actions acting on the suspended forms and the verification of their support and restraint system, with particular consideration given to wind-induced effects and the safe installation of the artwork within the existing building environment.
