This residential development in Agios Markos, Tinos, embraces the island's traditional architecture with a modern, sustainable approach. The design features modest masonry buildings that reflect the Cycladic character through simple geometric forms, natural materials, and locally inspired details. Built with bearing orthoblock masonry walls, the structures combine traditional techniques with contemporary construction standards, offering excellent durability, thermal performance, and seismic safety. Tesseract Engineers collaborated with Alexandros Fotakis from the conceptual stage to the detailed structural design, proposing an economical, sustainable system that respects local building heritage while meeting modern requirements.
